The short version
- Your original training videos are private by default.
- We use them to process your workout and improve FootyTekniq's soccer-analysis models and features.
- We do not sell videos or personal information, and we do not use them for targeted advertising.
- Sharing with another player happens only when you intentionally use a sharing or challenge feature.
- You can delete eligible workout jobs and ask us to delete your account information.
What we collect
Depending on how you use FootyTekniq, we may collect:
- Account information: your name or nickname, email address, sign-in identifier, and account settings.
- Videos you choose to upload: the picture and audio in a training recording, which may include your surroundings or other people.
- Training results: detected body keypoints, technique measurements, scores, feedback, workout history, and generated playback or challenge media.
- Technical information: device, browser, network, request, error, and security logs needed to run and protect the service.
- Messages: information you send when you request access, support, correction, or deletion.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate you; receive and process a workout; analyze technique; provide scores, feedback, and playback; operate and secure the service; answer support requests; and train, test, evaluate, and improve FootyTekniq's soccer-analysis models, scoring, and features. We do not use private training videos to build advertising profiles or train models for advertisers.
How videos improve FootyTekniq
Uploaded video and derived information—such as detected motion, body keypoints, ball tracks, technique measurements, and scores—may become part of FootyTekniq's internal training, testing, and evaluation data. This helps us recognize more players, filming conditions, drills, and playing styles and improve the accuracy and reliability of future results.
Access is limited to authorized FootyTekniq personnel and service providers who need it for engineering, quality review, annotation, security, or model development. A limited number of videos may be reviewed by a person for those purposes. This internal improvement use does not make the video public and does not permit advertising use or sharing it with other players.
Who processes it
We do not publish private uploads or hand them to advertisers. A small number of infrastructure providers process information only as needed to operate FootyTekniq: Google Firebase and Firestore for sign-in and application data, Railway for the API, Modal for video processing, Backblaze B2 for video and result storage, and Cloudflare for the public website, security, and delivery. These providers are not other FootyTekniq players.
We may also disclose limited information if required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect a person, prevent fraud or abuse, or defend the security and rights of FootyTekniq and its users.
When you choose to share
A sharing or challenge feature is an explicit choice. If you use one, FootyTekniq may create a short clip, score, player name or nickname, and challenge link for the audience you select. The original workout does not become a public feed post. Use the available challenge controls—or contact us—to revoke an active challenge.
Keeping and deleting data
Workout videos and results are kept so you can access your training history until you delete an eligible completed or failed workout job. Deleting that job permanently removes its stored input video, generated output, and results from active storage. A workout still processing may need to finish or be cancelled first. Deletion also stops new training or evaluation uses of that source video. It does not require FootyTekniq to discard a model or aggregated improvement created before deletion. Some limited security, backup, transaction, or legal records may remain only as long as reasonably necessary.
To request access, correction, or deletion of account information, email hello@footytekniq.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify that the request is really yours.
Players under 13
FootyTekniq is currently intended for players age 13 and older. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor's use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted an account or video, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
Security and changes
We use access controls, signed upload and download links, encrypted connections, and operational monitoring designed to protect player data. No online system is perfect, so please protect your account and tell us if something looks wrong. If this notice changes materially, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
